The return of Kotoni Staggs and a monumental performance from Payne Haas have helped a revitalised Brisbane snap a four-game losing streak with a 26-18 NRL win over Cronulla at Suncorp Stadium.

Copping a pre-match spray from coach Kevin Walters on Sunday, the Broncos looked like a different team as they celebrated Staggs’ return from an ACL injury with the five tries to three win that included a double from fullback Tesi Niu.

Brisbane moved off the bottom of the ladder by snapping eight-placed Cronulla’s four-game winning streak in front of 13,840 fans.
