Mele Eels continue undefeated start in Port Vila Women’s Premiership

The Mele Eels have put on a dominant performance in Week Five of the 2021 Port Vila Women’s Championship held over the weekend at the Erakor fields, defeating the Blacksand Diamonds 50 – 16.

The defending Premiers were simply too strong for the Diamonds as they continued their undefeated start to the 2021 season, running up the half century in a high scoring afair.

In the Men’s Championship, the Ifira Blackbirds secured their second win of the season with a 42 – 14 win over the Diamonds, whilst the top of the table clash between the Vanuatu Police Force and Vate Bulldogs was postponed following the passing of Corporal John Koroso.

In the Under 15’s Championship, the Diamonds recorded a 15 – 0 win over the Mele Eels.

Women’s Championship:
Mele Eels 50 – 16 Blacksand Diamonds

Men’s Championship:
Ifira Blackbirds 42 – 14 Blacksand Diamonds
