Brasil name extended squad for Women’s World Cup

Brasil Rugby League head coach, Paul Grundy, has today named the Amazonas extended squad for this year’s Women’s World Cup in England.

The 47 person strong squad features Olympian and current Brasil Rugby Sevens star, Edna Santini.

Of the squad, Larissa Lima, is the only foreign based player (Currently playing for the Pt Chevalier Pirates in the Auckland Women’s Premiership) with all players born in the South American country.

Brasil has been grouped with Canada, Papua New Guinea and hosts England in the tournament.
