Western State Maroons claim both Men’s & Women’s Origin titles

The Western State Maroons have claimed the 2020 Fiji National Rugby League Origin series after the Josateki Sovau captained team defeated the Eastern State Blues 20 – 8 at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Saturday.

After losing the opening match of the series, the Men’s Western Maroons side won the final two games to claim the three-game series, and join the Women’s Maroons team in claiming the Representative series title.

The Western State Women’s side won the third game of the series 28 – 6 to win the series 3 – 0.
