Canterbury Bulls to kick off NZRL National Premierships

The new look Nga-Puna-Wai Stadium in Christchurch will host the opening games of this weekend’s New Zealand Rugby League National Premierships when the Canterbury Bulls face the Counties Stingrays in both the Men’s and Women’s competitions.

In the Sky Sports NZRL National Women’s Premiership, the Canterbury Bulls will be looking to stop a Counties Manukau Stingrays side which has won the last ten National Women’s Tournaments, whilst in the Men’s Premiership, the Bulls will be hoping for a strong start when they also play the Stingrays.

The Bulls finished runners up in the Men’s Premiership last year, falling to the Akarana Falcons who will play on Sunday at Pulman Park against Waikato. In the Women’s Premiership clash, also at Pulman Park, the Falcons will play the Mid-Central Vipers.

All four matches will be televised live on Sky Sports.
