Peru announce clash against Brazil

Following their historic win over Uruguay in September, the Peru national team will be returning to Waminda Oval in Leumeah to host their second Latin American opponent next February.

The match, which will be against the Brazilian representative team, will be only Peru’s second international fixture as the nation looks to follow in the footsteps of the Federación de Rugby League Futbol 13 Chile and Brasil Rugby League in becoming Affiliate members of the International Rugby League.

Peru defeated Uruguay 34 – 30 in their opening International, whilst 41st ranked Brazil has won two of their four internationals.

Curtain raisers to the main game will see the Latin Heat Under 18’s and Under 16’s face Malta Heritage teams of the same age groups.
