Brazil name High Performance squad in preparation to 2021 World Cup

Following the announcement that the Brazilian Women’s National Rugby League team will take part in the 2021 Women’s Rugby League World Cup in England, the Brazilian Rugby League Confederation has named a 23-woman High Performance Unit (HPU) squad which is set to form the basis for the Brazilian Women’s National team over the coming years.

The squad will take part in a series of High Performance sessions coordinated by the Brazilian Rugby League Confederation as the team builds for the first World Cup appearance, and has been selected from across the nation, with São Paulo providing the most players with 12.

The Brazilian Women’s team will join Papua New Guinea, Canada, New Zealand, England, France, Cook Islands and defending Champions, Australia, at the sixth Women’s World Cup in 2021.
