RLIF release World Rankings heading into RLWC2017

Australia will go into the 2017 Rugby League World Cup in November, which they will co-host with New Zealand, further strengthened in number one position in the World Rankings after their Anzac Test victory over the Kiwis.

Two new nations are in the list for the first time with the inclusion of Thailand and Uruguay, taking the total to 42 and reflecting the greater number of sanctioned internationals being played globally.

Leilani Latu’s last-gasp try for Tonga to beat Fiji 26-24 in last week’s Pacific triple-header saw them move up one rung on the ladder, whilst the biggest gainers are Hungary who rise five places to 33rd.
